Tank venting valve, where is it?
Hey guys,
I'm in the process of modifying a harness for a V8 swap and I'm stuck on a connection. The diagram says it's a tank venting valve (Pin C3 on the DME). Its supposed to be located somewhere in the engine compartment (this is not the valve by the tank filler). Anyone know where its located and what it does? I'm 99% sure that I don't need it, but it would be nice to know what it is. Once I get my harness finished, I will post the pinouts for all DME and X connections (white, black, yellow) in case anyone else needs them. |
This is for a 996. It looks like its #5. Cross check against a Boxster diagram to be sure. Hope this points you in the right direction.

Its next to the throttle body. A hard plastic line runs from the carbon canister to the valve. A rubber line runs from the other side of the valve to the throttle body.
