rattle behind te passenger area

i have an annoying rattle that sounds like something plastic behind the passenger area closer to the rear....like a loose part..any thought to what this could be...I only hear it when I go over a bumpy area on a road

Sway bar end link or track rod bushing are the likely culprits. My car has a similar noise at low speeds.

they are plastic parts then? it sounds like a cheap piece of plastic when i go over a manhole cover or something bumpy like that

Do you have the plastic windscreen? If that is a little loose (clips go bad) is will rattle. Or is the sound further back?

sound is coming from behind that, closer to the edge of the top of the rear wheel, but a bit higher around the passenger back side of the convertible top under the base

I have a similar rattle but only with the top up. Can't find it and drives me nuts.:ah:

Check the oil filler tube, dipstick tube and anything else coming from the engine up to the access area in the rear trunk. These things can all break and rattle like crazy.

Rattle over some surfaces

Hi,

Just fixed light rattle from front and rear over small road imperfections at low speed.

Turned out to be front and rear trunk lids, two turns of the rubber buffers fixed it,

Worth a try,

Alan

rattle at rear

THE CONTROL ARMS WHICH ARE CONNECTED IN FRONT OF THE REAR WHEELS BACK TO THE WHEEL HUB. THE FRONT CONNECTION IS A ball joint with a bolt through it vertically.this ball joint rattles over patchy roads even if it is only slightly worn
