ROW 030 suspension for $1900

I was looking at Suncoast today and saw that the ROW 030 suspension kit for an 03 S is running $1900. This seems expensive to me. Plus, they charge a $200 premium for an S manual transmission. Is there an other place to get this kit?

Tony

If I recall correctly, the kits stopped being produced as kits a while back, so they have gotten harder to find. You can still order the parts individually. A few people have mentioned calling Sunset Imports, they seem to know what to order to build a kit from individual parts. Not sure if it is cheaper though.

I too looked into this awhile back. Sunset Porsche had ROW M030 kits for tiptronics but not manual S. As a result the premimum price comes into play when they add the M030 springs for the manual. You will end up with an extra set of springs that go on the tips. IIRC, Sunset was cheaper than Suncoast.

I ran a tip kit on my old manual S. You get slightly stiffer rear springs and a touch more rake. Mine ran great and handled better than my current 550 partly due to the M030 in the old one being brand new I'm sure.

I'm selling my M030 stock suspension eventually, has 60K car is currently sitting as a roller while I get my V8 swap underway. Once I get it in the air I'll pull the spring/strut assembly if anyone is interested.

Do you have to call sunset? I look at their site, but there is no parts info.

I bought the Sunset ROW M030 Tip kit 2 years ago, for $1200 including separate 6 speed ROW rear springs. Ask for Luke Rogers. At that time buying all the parts individually was $2400!
