Can anyone help? ABS Module pains

I have recently installed a used PSM module on my 2001 Boxster s (with PSM). The ABS/brake fluid/PSM lights on my dashboard will not go out. The car drives and the brakes work without any ABS functions.

I have hooked the car up to my Durametric and it shows no codes for the ABS module, but is does tell me that it cannot establish communication with the PSM system. Except for an alarm code (which I am sure is not related), there are no other codes present on the OBD system.

Can someone please tell me if I am missing a step in installing this ABS module? Does it NEED to be "coded" to the car in order for it to function?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am going nuts trying to figure this out

I am in Edmonton Alberta if anyone is close by with a PST2 or something that can help out.

Thank you all!

Piper

You need a PST II or PIWIS to code the modules.

Thanks JFP, that's all I really needed to know for sure. I'll get it done. Thanks for your help.
