Engine swapped now check engine lights
 

Ok so I swapped from. 2.5 to another 2.5. Mechanic told me the new engine had hoses and harness cut so he had to swap over numerous parts including the missing throttle body...
Anyhow my car is a 1997. And here are my fault codes

P1117
P1121
P0160
P0140
P1410
P1411

Car is still in the shop and they now want to charge me for diagnosis. The swap price has already doubled and by no means do I have dollars to rain on the mechanic. So any help is appreciated

The first four are oxy sensor codes. Both sides, after the cats. One code each side is telling you the number is low and the other is telling you the signal is being interrupted.

Obviously, check for connections first. Any chance you're trying to install non stock headers?

The last two are SAI (secondary air injection)

I take it the car runs now?

Car runs well when warm. Idles low when cold I'm guessing that's the air injection?

Odd both rear O2 sensors are bad simultaneously. Hopefully a harness isn't plugged in

there is an electrical connector for each oxy sensor. The ones you are looking for are at the back end of each cylinder head. The oxy sensor will have a short pigtail that goes to the connector.

do a search for the SAI issue. There are several good threads here that have diagrams, etc.

Secondary air injection faults usually don't affect the running condition. The SAI injects air into the exhaust stream to dilute and lessen pollutants after cold start until the cat's warm up.

Better odds are the O2 sensor faults/issues are related to the low cold idle.

Check all you plugs in the ECU and the ground connections in the trunk and on the block. These are all sensor faults. Sounds like something didn't get connected properly.
