Clutch question
Hey guys here is my issue the other day I backed car out of garage to wash it and immediately the clutch felt funny. By this I mean there is almost no resistance on the way up until about the last inch or so before it engages is the best way to describe it. Anwar I drove it a few miles after I washed it and it seemed ok. Today I drove to the gym and noticed in higher gears it seems slip then catch. After I parked at the gym I noticed a slight burnt smell but not very strong. The car is an 02 S 6speed with 41,600 miles. Any ideas?

New clutch time. Do it before you damage the flywheel ($$).

Ok yeah that's what I was afraid of. I called the dealer out of curiosity they said the parts alone are 850 plus labor does that sound about right?

Springman ,
Suggest you ask for a "while I am in there" list. There is a lot of labor to do the clutch and it takes only a few minutes to check other wear items DMF RMS IMSB others will add/comment. |
Clutch change is around 8-10 hours labour time. And you'll need some special tools.
