Coolant Inlet Connector Question
Hi All,
I was driving my 97 base for a few mile test drive after an engine replacement and coolant began to pour out of the rear of the car all over the road. I quickly pulled over and shut off. The replacement engine was sourced on eBay and is believed to be early. There is a crack in the 'inlet connector' This is located at the front of the engine and is where the coolant returns into the engine from the radiators. The part number of my part is: 996 106 215 0R See attached image (mechanic attempted to fix the part with epoxy). http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1434426776.jpg I have since been looking at the Porsche Catalogue and this part does not seem to exist. The closest that I can find is per the second attachment (996 106 215 00). http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1434427022.gif However, there only appears to be one connection on the 'replacement' connector and not two. Does anyone know what the second (smaller) hose is for on the original (cracked) inelet connector? Thank you for your assistance. |
Your Boxster must be Auto trans, I just replaced my engine with a used one that had auto trans and swappped out that exact part. I have no need for it and have one available. What would you like to offer for it?

Yes. It is an auto.
How much would you like for it! The new (single connector) is 34.50 from ********************************************. The car is located in 33483 Delray Beach Thanks |
