trans cooler help
Hi guys, i have 2 questions regarding trans cooler
1st question: do you recommend putting a quick disconnect on the lines? if so do i need 1 or 2 ??? If i need to take out the transmission, it could go faster... something like that Vibrant Performance ::. 2nd question: what's that part number # 2 ??? we need to connect 2 of those at the transmission filling hole and drain plug... http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k1...psbmnfgl0g.png thx for the help |
Quick disconnects can help if you need to change a transmission at the track in a hurry. Makes it way less messy, but you need to have a replacement transmission with the matching quick disconnects installed ready to go, so cost is increased substantially. You will really need 4 quick disconnects to make it worthwhile. Two for this transmission and two for the replacement. Personally I'd rather spend $600 some where else on the car and deal with messy fluid.
Part 2 looks like a T piece with a block off on one side. I would say it is designed to fit in the drain plug and allow fluid to be drained easily. |

thx for the help, decided to pass on the quick connect i need to know what fitting size to install the drain and fill plug anyone can help? |
Its an m24 tapered fitting. Best plan is to use these with a 3/8 NPT to AN fitting.
