Go with Ultimate cup holders. Way better design...

BMW Cup Holders, Porsche Cup Holders, Ultimate Cup Holder - Cupholders / Drink Holders for BMW 3 5 7 Series, Boxster 911 Z4 Mercedes Audi NSX other fine cars.

I just replaced mine. It's pretty easy. Take the old one out and look at how it goes together and its a 5 minute job. You could do just one side but when one breaks the other isn't far behind. I don't know that you could buy just the one side.

But how did u get cup holder out? Do I have to remove bezel? Does bezel just pry off? Sorry to be so ignorant but I dnt want to break anything else.

I replaced the entire unit on mine (for consistency) and bought an Ultimate cup holder to hold my coffee. The bezel comes off which reveals the cup holder slide mount screws. Use a plastic trim tool to lift - there are four bezel pegs - one at each corner. Go slow, and watch your screws from falling in to the console.

See Pelican parts for the entire replacement unit which is cheaper than replacing just one side. There's also usually a forum member selling one of these units from which you could raid the pieces you need.
