Short final drive / ring & pinion availability (6 speed)

Managed to track down a 4.00:1 final drive for the 6 speed 986 gearbox after a bit of effort. The guy I spoke with seems to think this is as short as they come.

Does anything shorter exist? Around 4.5-4.9?

Cheers.

I can help you with this if you would like. It would be a custom made piece, but it certainly can be done. Cost would be pretty high I think for a one off, as a ratio that short would be useless to most cars.

What are you using the gearbox for that you need a ratio this short?

Can you pm me a price on this?

It's for a stripped out fun road/track car. Had a short final drive in an S1 Elise which was the business.
