Spec Stage 1

anyone got a feel for life expectancy of a spec stage one clutch when used with a lightweight flywheel in a relatively hoon-free manner? are we talking 10k miles or 100k miles (ie, order of magnitude miles before replacement when used aggressively but responsibly)?

thanks.

Did you just use "aggressively" and "responsibly" in the same sentence? :D

yessir! say track time but no 4000 rpm clutch drops or traffic light drags.

I have the same setup (Spec 1 + LWFW). It was installed by the PO and used in a "responsible" manner for the last 20k miles.
Now that it's under my ownership, it will see more track and AX days.
I'm curious to see how long the clutch will last as well.

How does it sound? Is there vibration?

Clutch has a stronger bite and it is slightly harder to roll off smoothly/slowly in 1st.
I experience no difference in sound or vibration. (it has the sprung hub)

This is a little off track, but the info may be useful. I have the Spec Stage 3+ clutch and a LWFW in my autocross car. Most of my starts are around 3000 rpm. I installed the clutch at 142k 4 years ago. I'm now at 172k and it is working fine.

Good to know. I'll report back when my clutch gets toasted.
