Well I was too lazy, and cheap to buy the expensive stuff....

This stuff works pretty dang good so far.

Mag1 transmission fluid

About $6 a quart. Hard to find the LT 71141 specification on the websites but its on the back of the bottle.

IIRC Mag1 is made by Warren Performance Products. Is there a WPP molded into the bottom of the bottle?

Funny that my owners manual and service manual didn't list the specification for the fluid. The owner's manual said see your dealer, the service manual said to see the parts catalogue, and the parts Katalog that I have downloaded, just has a part number for the fluid. Fun stuff.

ZF has a decent catalog available online and it shows the fluid specification.

I have been using Valvoline Max Life (full synthetic) in my Hondas that are auto trans, so I will probably use it in my Tiptronic Box' when I get around to doing a fluid change. I just wish that they listed Porsche specifically.

I know this is an old post but I wanted to mention this. I was at Wally World (Walmart) and found a gallon of Valvoline Max Life trans fluid for $17 and change. Seems like one hell of a deal for a synthetic trans fluid.
