M-porsche. I don't think 19 inch wheels will "slow the car down" as you say, vs. the 18 inch wheels. There may be handling differences and ride comfort considerations to evaluate. How are your roads in your area?

I selected my 987S wheels purely on aesthetics. Maybe someday, I'll be a good enough driver that an 18 or 19 inch wheel can truly make a significance difference in my driving performance.
