Oil leak at high pressure

Yesterday my car developed an oil leak at an autocross practice. It only seems to leak at high rpms and doesn't drip any oil if left to sit. It's leaking on the drivers side somewhere high enough to hit the clutch line and spray into the wheel(it's not the clutch line oil), it's eventually finding its way to the exhaust manifold an burning off . Any ideas? I can't find the leak even after 30 minutes I the car on ramps.

Spark plug tubes would be my guess. Done them recently?

Have you checked the power steering reservoir? If its "spraying" oil, a common(ish) failure at the track & autocross.

+ 1 as an item to check. PS fluid on mine used to overflow and dump on the engine every time I autocrossed.

Update: it's definitely oil. I just heard back from the Porsche shop and have been told it's the IMS. Is this p-car shops answer to everything. I know it's not the ims. But I need some help with some ideas. Here's what I know

-it's covering the entire left side of the engine. And only the left
-there is oil 75% the way up. Basically clutch slave down.
-it's pooling in the pan under the engine big time
-the leak seems to close to the top left o the bell housing and running down.

Clean off the engine and try looking at the base of the oil cooler, which is in the exact area you describe. It has four O-rings, two that seal it to the cooling system, two that seal it to the oiling system. One of the O-rings may have gone bad.

Just heard back from them..again. Its the left transmission output shaft. THey're telling me I need a new transmission, but could try and replace the seal. Any advice? I've got a line on a transmission that I think I'm going to pick up tomorrow morning and spend the day under the car, hopefully I'll get it back together for the autocross on Sunday.

The IMS, now the transmission, are you sure you trust this shop ?
