For ages I've been hoping to see that I got the inner front wheel off the ground in a turn... Here's the pic!!!

Not by much, but the inner front is off the ground !

That's a good thing? I always thought the 356s with a wheel in the air looked like were about to lose control. Tell me more about this, please.

Way back in the day I used to drive a VW Rabbit (A1 body). I knew they were capable of lifting an inner rear wheel on heavy cornering but didn't know that I was doing it until one day a coworker of mine watched me on a freeway on ramp.

He said he could have passed a cowboy hat under my rear tire. Lots of body roll with that car, but they did handle well for a front drive econo car.

I wonder how many G's that took?

On the other hand I can imagine thefront tires screetching on the ragged edge of traction and then 50% of your front contact patches leaves the pavement, and blaaaa understeer while your trying to unwind the wheel for the strait section. If you timed it right you come off looking like a pro, if not it cost you 1 or 2 seconds for a knocked cone.

It doesn't work that way. You don't go from 100% grip to 50%, there's a steady, fairly linear transition of weight/grip from the inside to outside tire. You're inside tire can be "on the ground" , but only have 10# of load on it, essentially doing nothing.

Awesome shots! Ive been told my front wheels have been up in the air at AutoX events... but no pictures...

That is generally a sign of fairly high roll stiffness. Are you running the front GT-3 sway at a stiff setting?

I've got the stock 2000 S sway bar in front...and no sway bar in the rear. However, I do have Coilovers meant for a stock car, and I'm down to 2700lbs. She's pretty stiff!

Ahhhh,,, I was wondering where the top was! Nice job.
