will a 2004 side vent fit into a 2000 ?

Yes, no problem. But be very careful with removing and installing these vents, either style. There are tabs which are easily broken.

I have right side one for sale if you are interested....ended up making my own.

If you do break the tabs, a couple of deck screws should hold it in place. :D
