What 996 suspension parts will fit a 986?

I'm interested in improving the stock suspension on my 2004 Boxster S but I don't want to spend $3k-$4k on new coil over kits. I've noticed that there are a lot of used 996 suspension components available for sale at relatively decent prices but I hardly ever come across used 986 suspensions for sale. I've been thinking of upgrading sway bars and installing coil overs and was looking for some insight on what suspension parts on a 996 will fit the 986. Specifically, answers to the questions below:

Would a coil over kit from a 996 Cup Car (front and rear) fit?
What suspension parts from a 996 C2 fit on the 986?
What suspension parts from a 996 C4 fit on the 986?
What suspension parts from a GT3 fit on the 986?

I've done searches and found information spread out but nothing definitive like: 996 C2 front suspension components will fit a 986 but the rear parts will not.

Look for a used M30 setup for the Boxster, they come available from time to time.
