Talking Suspension Question ?

I am in the process of converting a 1998 Boxster to a Boxster S with a 3.4 996 motor. While I am waiting for a 10 cent part to come in (pin for the 88 pin DME to add more driver info) I am turning to my suspension.
My question is .....I have replaced the four stock "S" shocks with Bilstein's. The rear springs I am using have paint dots ...yellow/purple together and a green dot on a different location on the same spring........will the correct matching shocks for the front springs have the same paint dots as the rear springs?????? If not what is the correct color dots to have on the front springs to have the correct balance for the car????

Bilstein shocks don't have paint dots, that's only applicable to springs. The codes vary widely, look for earlier posts from me when I did the ROW M030 retrofit, regarding spring dot colors.

Not sure what you're asking, it sounds like you retained the stock springs. New Bilsteins only come in HD, Sport, and OEM flavors AFAIK.

Sorry for the confusion...shocks are HD. Paint dots are from the rear springs only. Rear springs came with trans. and rear drive train I purchased. Front springs are stock on my 98 Boxster. I do not seem to find paint dots on them.
My question was should front and rear spring color dots all match? Thank you for the information....I will check your posts. Thanks, Bob
