2.5l 3.2l engine swap

I recently had a 2000 3.2l Boxster S engine put into my 1999 Boxster. The car currently runs, but wanted to take advantage of the extra power by using a 3.4l 996 flash for the ecu instead of the 2.5l is currently loaded. My mechanic and the local Porsche dealer have been unable to do this. The car has all the standard electronics for the 1999 Boxster and a 3.4l mechanical throttle body. I have read that the ecu can be flashed with the 3.4l software used for the 996. Is this possible? If so what steps need to be done?

A PST2 or PIWIS Porsche diagnostic scanner & your car's programming codes which only a authorized dealer can obtain thru PCNA is all that's required.
Porsche AG doesn't want people doing this. You should call a different Porsche dealer, tell them your IMS bearing failed & you are converting the car to a fulltime racecar with a bigger engine.

i believe there is a company, possibly softronics, which does program reflashes for engine changes.
