iphone install

i installed aux cable from becker and to my amazement its even more clear than the cd player /radio!!!

question for everyone, is there a mic in the car somewhere? bec i got a phone call and it was crystal clear. the other person was able to hear me really well even though i put the iPhone on the passenger seat.

There are sound sensors unsure if they'd work as a mic, curious though, how did you get an aux, I recently bought a USB to 40 pin. Have yet to install it, but I can use it in place of my 6 disc.

called Becker from one of the threads on the forum. took 5 mins. $30.

very easy to install, just pulled radio out and plugged it in. only tricky part was to get the wire from the radio to the lower part of the cubby compartment. i then drilled a small hole and wired it thru. i did wrap part of the wire with electric tape so it wouldn't pull apart when i put the radio back in.

sound is better than i thought the stereo even had capacity to produce!

but what was more shocking was i could talk thru it even better than holding the phone next to me. now its all hands free talking might try siri now lol

they offer a USB option to play and charge your phone same time but it was $100. it was exact plug for iPhone but i didnt want to go with it since i might change phones in the future.

Smart choice, I'll post my results once I get mine wired up, I wanted my tunes but to keep the original stereo.

Interested here too.
Maybe I won't have to swap out my head unit after all.

iPod connection works great! Radio was a pain to remove, doesn't charge the phone, but plays music great, cutting a small hole in the storage tray rear to run the cable through.
