ROW file for a tip?

I recently tried a ROW flash on my 2001S but it didn't work properly. My indy tech said perhaps it was because it was a tiptronic. He had only done manual shift cars in the past. He gave me my money back ($250) but didn't have a solution for me. Does anyone have a lead or some pertinent info to give me?
Cheers.

What is a ROW Flash...I suppose it is tunning ??

ROW = Rest of World, it is a different "tune" for the ECU, that eliminates the post-cat O2 sensors (so you can run headers) and also supposedly gives more power. Apparently here in the US we have more restrictive EPA regulations, CAT monitoring etc... which rob a little power; the ROW flash eliminates this restrictive tuning.

Thanks

I learn something new every day here.

Question (might be dumb...but not knowing is worse)

Can you back up your ECU before doing this so it can be reversed ?

Can this be done with a Durametric ?

You can't upload code to the ecu with a Durametric.
Yes, you can reverse the process by just re-flashing the ecu with your original saved code.

Thanks, I knew on my E36 this was pretty easy to accomplish....have not done much with the Boxster yet.
