Wires behind battery

Hi, newb question:

There are two wires that seems to be going into the car behind the battery. You can see the connectors evenly spaced in this picture by pelican parts:

(The ones on the wall to the right of the two arrows,)

Where does these go, and what do they do? Mine seem to be disconnected.... Have no issues apart from an airbag light on. Might be seat buckle or something with the child seat bar beeing installed.

Thanks
Chris

That looks like some type of non factory aftermarket (read post delivery) installation.

Looks to me like it could be a battery trickle charger. Note the yellow arrow.

I disagree, I think I explained badly and we're talking about different parts

Here is the connectors I mean, by my fingers:

Agreed. I installed a trickle charger with the same connector on a BMW years ago. But of course it could be anything.

Really, well maybe I was to quick to axe down the suggestion. Just found it strange that the connectors appeared similar on the first pic (not my car) and the second (my car). So from what I understand these are not "stock".

BTW I managed to remove the airbag light by simply disconnecting the child seat connector under the passenger seat, no system reset needed, (Saves me some $).

The connector you are holding in your hand, is one of the windshield sprinklers.
You have one on your right as well.
it is suppose to connect to the sprinkler just left to your finger.

nor986 - while in there, you should make sure your front (and rear) drain plugs are clear and battery has vent tube installed... unless you know of another specific reason for the visible corrosion.

:)

Apart that my nozzles are working :D , that doesn't sound unreasonable... I'll dig in and follow the wires.

Your rebuke is noted. It actually looked pretty bad in there... dug out enough for a small clay pot.
