Will a 2.5L 97-99 tip work on a 2.7L tip car

Before buying a transmission I wanted to confirm if these transmission interchange between 2.5L cars and 2.7L cars. I have a 2000 Boxster base tiptronic.

If anyone can confirm one way or another that would be awesome.

Thanks

yes -- I swapped one a few years ago with no issues -- 97 TIP to 2000 TIP.

Did you need the computer? Any other modifications to make it work?

I had a '99 TIP and a '01 TIP and they worked slightly differently so at least the control module must have been different. Had to do with being able to shift while in auto via the steering wheel buttons where the '99 you had to shift to manual before the buttons would work. No idea if the internals are the same.
