F1 Fuel Injector Video
 

This is an older video (but new to me) showing operation of the fuel injectors from a Formula-1 Renault engine while the engine was connected to a driving simulator. Sounds like there is very little half-throttle - its either WOT or nothing. :)

The engineering nerd in me loves this stuff!

Wow that's pretty inspiring!

We reverse-engineer Japanese motorcycle production engine components made of those cheap thick and heavy cast iron and remodel those parts just so to recover that wasted energy. Most parts eventually goes to precision machining using ultra-lightweight materials (mostly Ti6AL4V titanium, magnesium and AL 7075). Cranks, cams, sprockets, gears, chains, springs, rods, and pistons.

Final builts revs above 15,000rmp and keep up with the GP prototypes. I'm surprised nobody if doing the same for Porsche engine components. Is cheap and "heavy" production-line cast iron rules for the track pcars?

might be just as good to slam in a audi V14 in a Porsche and call it a day dunno lol
