Quick question

I'm in the process of freeing up some power on my 2001 boxster s and I came across the IPD Plenum and the 74mm throttle body. This is a mod I definitely want to do but the price tag is a bit high. I have read that you can use a 2003 C4S throttle body and a 997 v1 plenum. My question: Will this setup work in my boxster? Is it ply and play (are the connectors the same)? Where can I get these parts? Finally, is there an intake that will fit the new throttle body and fit in the boosters engine compartment?
Thanks in advance. Sorry if these questions have been answered before. I did a lot of research and couldn't find anything.

Mixed results on this. Some like it and some don't. "Freeing up hp" is not so simple on these cars.

So will this setup work on the boxster s?

what is your expectation of "freeing up power" versus $$$
also what HP/torque increase do you believe you will notice?
as other response(s) note, result is "mixed"

I assume you are referring to the IPD plenum, & i belive it is hard to justify the cost.

There is a extensive thread on this forum including part #s on installing oem 996 parts.
The IPD intake hose is 1st rate quality & available separately.
