Tiptronic gear indicator
 

Hi everyone,

my tiptronic gearbox works great but the only problem is that the gear indicator lights act quite strange.
In "D" it shows just "D" and sometimes while the car is in 1st gear shows "N", but after car switches to 2nd appears "D" again.
In manual mode shows "M" and "5" all the time no matter which gear you are driving.

What do you think may be the problem?

Are there any sensors inside gearbox or what is the principle so that the car is informed about engaged gear?
