Switch 16 to 18 inch wheels

Hi all;
I am at work right now and just have a quick question on wheel offset. I have 16 inch wheels on my 2004 base Boxster. I have an opportunity to buy 18 inch wheels with tires at a good price. the sizes are 18X8.5 with a 54 MM offset and 18X10.0 with a 42 MM offset. Will these work? I will be able to research more when I get home. Thanks!

Std 18" wheels on a 986 are:

F 7.5 x 18 ET50
R 9 x 18 ET52

Here's an offset calculator so you can see what effect different offsets have on the rim placement. You need to stay as close to the above #s as you can. If not, you may need wild sized spacers (don't want to do that) or the wheel may end up too far inside and will rub on struts and braces. This info should allow you to play to your heart's content.
