Has anyone stuck a 911 engine in the 986
I was browsing listings and got looking at 911 engines. I assume its possible to put one of these in a boxster? Has anyone did this here? Whats going to be the biggest expense doing such a thing and what else is involved other than a straight swap out.

Yep I just found it and I am on it now, my cars a 99 so the only thing is the maf sensor that needs a resistor. The page mentions that for my model then my choices are limited to the 3.4 liter 97 to 02 engines. It does not say anything about if that 3.4 can be a turbo, is there a 3.4 turbo?

I know someone. I have driven the car.

Edit: Hey looking at your sig, are you talking about your own car? |
Haha. Yes my own car. It was an easy swap. If you are serious about it PM me your number and a time to call. Id love to talk shop about it. It's a blast to drive and not over powering at all. It really is the way the car should have came.

I know this polish guy with one of those too!!!! Blast to drive

Why not put a Chevy LS series motor in it? (Renegade Hybrids, Las Vegas)
Imagine gobs of power and $18 oil changes... |
or a subi - precision chassis works makes a kit.
or, there's a guy on this forum selling the parts to put an audi v8 in one. the gt variant engines are a whole different engine and do not plug/play (turbo, gt-2, gt-3). |
