Airpump removal help please

I'm going to remove my airpump and it's corresponding parts this week to further reduce weight. Do I need to keep anything in mind when pulling these parts out? For example do I need to plug any of these lines in the diagram below?

Have you considered something like this;

Just order from your favorite parts supplier

(1) 996 113 140 53 plate
(1) 996 113 233 50 gasket
(1) 996 113 340 50 plate
(1) 996 113 213 51 gasket

I'm thinking about doing this too.

How involved is the process? From the diagram it does not look too bad.
Also, is an ECU mod required? I assume this would trigger a cel, right?

I got mine from a local dealer

That's were I ordered mine as well, any advice on the removal? How long did it take you?

Really easy project on my 3.4 with clearance issues. I bet it can be done in 2-3h. It took me a weekend due to hot summer and cold beer.

One more question. What are you supposed to do with #7 in the diagram? The kit I purchased doesn't include something to fill the hole that this component fits into

I think this is check valve. Nothing to plug up. You will need to relocate vacuum canister and make a bracket 4 it tho

Yes, the ECU will have to be modified to ignore the SAI test or you will get a CEL. Most common is a ROW re-flash.
