Throttle pedal assembly removal

Anyone remove the throttle pedal assembly inside the car?

I have the one screw out that i can see and it won't budge....have limited time and don't want to break anything?

Anyone have the proper removal motions?

Yes tried the movement / slide up and no dice.....unless a lot force is required

It's out........pull out at the top and slide up to clear boss underneath. it's plugged in

You should see how flimsy the hinge on the throttle pedal is.....if you are a heel toer or ball roller it only a matter if time before it breaks.

Radial moment on the hinge from blipping will weaken it. I see some white on my hinge bosses

Next question where does the throttle return spring sit in a e-gas set up?

The cable goes some where ....but does not seem to be spring loaded

I have been practicing my heel-toe shifting, and just the other day when I was driving barefoot I noticed that I could get some side to side lateral movement at the top of the pedal. Like if I planted my heel on the foor, put my toes on the pedal and moved them left/right, the top of the pedal would move left right. I don't recall ever feeling that before. Do you think that could be caused by the wearing you describe? Has anyone else ever seen that?

the housing and hinge are flimsy and will allow deflection as you describe. Note the thin strip of plastic that connects the bosses to pedal in the attached picture

Dang... Hopefully it is rare.
