Soft top on Boxster not functioning anymore

Not sure what exactly went wrong was simply putting the soft top up and it stopped working. The car is driving fine, just when I hit the button to bring the soft roof up or down nothing seems to happen. Any ideas as to what could've went wrong/how to fix it?

I took the back silver part off a bit ago which is why it isn't in the pictures.

Do a search. In general discussion they just discussed leaving the top as a manual top. Check fuse first. Then top motor since no sound.

The most common error is ...

... not having the e-brake engaged or if engaged, not having the e-brake light on.
The e-brake light is a prerequisite for the motor to work.
If the handle is engaged and the light in the dash does not com on check the microswitch at the base of the e-brake itself.
There's a small lid on the center console (behind the driver's seatbelt receptacle) that pops out.
With it out pull on the handbrake and you'll see two wires coming into the base of the e-brake.
There's a connector on the microswith.
Spray it liberally with contact cleaner and wiggle the wires until the red e-brake light comes on in the dash (with the ignition on).
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
