key won't turn. Please give me some ideas.
 

Please give me some ideas. My 1999 Boxster wouldn't start at all, but when I put the key it it, it turned and the radio worked, power windows, seats, top, locks, heater, the norm.. But I unhooked the CPU in the back, and hooked it back up and now the key won't turn. I'm taking it next week to fix the starting problem, but now I added to that. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

Sometimes my key won't turn because the steering wheel is binding with the steering lock. Try moving the steering wheel back and forth to lessen the pressure on the steering lock and hopefully the steering lock will loosen up enough so the key will turn.

The steering wheel was locked. I turned it before, but not hard enough. I am cleaning it while it is setting in my garage, so this allowed me to open and close the top.
