Coolant Questions

Has anyone else seen this anti-freeze. I am far away from any Porsche dealers and have not been able to get any antifreeze locally for my Boxster. I did a search at autozone and they recommend this antifreeze. Does anyone have experience with this? I have posted what they have on their site for easy reading of what I have read.

If you want to take the time an trouble to drain and thoroughly flush your system to remove any traces of the Porsche product, you can probably use just about any coolant that is compatible with alloy engines. As Porsche coolant, which is very good in its own right, has demonstrated that it does not always play well with others, if you do not want to go through the flushing procedure, you might be better off stay with the factory product mixed with distilled water..... And if you do go with another product, be vigilant that no shop inadvertently adds the Porsche product to it later on.

Advanced Auto in my area carries Petosin Pentofrost which is a recommended brand. Their are 2 different grades check the Petosin web site for the correct grade for your model. ++ has silicate, SF has no silicate. Newer model 987 take ++. 2002 and earlier take the SF
