slight squeaking sound at start up

so i recently started to hear a slight squeal sound at start up. its not loud but noticeable. it only last for about a min, and after engine warms a bit its gone.

should i be concerned? thanks in advance.

If it sounds kind of like a hair dryer by your passenger rear tire and It stops after 2 minutes or so it's your sexondary air injection pump

yeah thats what it sounds like. so is that ok? or sign its about to go? thanks for your input.

No it's a normal sound and you should hear it on every cold start.

Hate to ruin a good nights sleep. The air injector is one sound that is expected but there is a bearing in it that can go bad. I'm starting to hear a very high pitch squeal while the injector is running. So I suspect that the bearing that the injector runs on is going bad

Yep, eventually it will start throwing codes. Theres a write up over on rennlist on how take the pump apart and lubricate the bearing that goes bad.

Well last night I took my SAI-pump apart and using a Lube Needle, filled the motor bearings with grease.
I started and no high pitch squeal, just regular hair dryer sound and that with engine cover off so I could hear very clearly
So time and more starts will tell.
It seems all I do is repair/replace sealed bearings.
My table saw, my jeep's AC compressor clutch pulley.
These dried out creatures are everywhere

Good write up on rennlist

Mine is more of a hum than squeal...you might want to lube it as kk did or you might be buying a new pump.
