997 oil pump

hi. looking at the part numbers for the 997 oil pump, all are 996 numbers (housing, etc.) except for the pump itself. would it be possible to install a 997 oil pump in a 996? I ask because the 997 unit also has a vacuum pump, which would be nice to have instead of relying on manifold vacuum, vacuum tanks, etc.

second question: could this vacuum pump be used to supply vacuum to the aos?
