Chipped interior door grab handles.
I thought I'd try to make the black interior door handles on my 2000 Boxster look better. It seems the black leather-like paint covering is chipping off and revealing a glossy plastic handle. Starting to look cheesy...chippy...Any comments?

Call a junkyard, see if they have the parts. It may be cheap and not worth your time to try and repair your old one.

Yea I was thinking that. I've taken a door skin off before but never replaced a grab handle. You know any gotcha's?

Here in the Midwest a "gotcha" is an unexpected result from a standard operating procedure. So this job would have a "gotcha" if for example I took off the door installed the new handle and then at the end of the job found out that if the handle goes on unside down the door will never open again...Pretty unlikely but that's a gotcha...

Another "gotcha" is like when Indiana University hired Mike Davis!

You are right on! Bobby Knight would approve!

Great looking car Hoosier. You should "poor guy" deamber it,taillights, side markers and headlight corners. You should also use some Plexus Plastic cleaner on your rear plastic window.

You got me thinking and I am going to search the forum for sourcing on doing just that. That may keep me from trading in a car that I would hate to part with. Any help with best sources for deambering would be great! Thanks!
