Hard Starting When Hot
I have had one episode of a hard start while hot. I drove to the store and back, about 5 miles. I turned off the car in the driveway and then decided to put it in the garage. I attempted to start it about 10 seconds after turning it off and it would roll and hit, but not catch and run. It was right on the edge of starting, so on the third try I just kept the key turned until it started, which took maybe 5 seconds. It ran fine after it started. Any ideas? Normally it starts instantly - 2003 S 6 speed -

I had some issues with starting as well a couple weeks ago. Fixed it with the regeneration valve that I mentioned in my post that I provided the link for. I bought it at the dealer for around 130 dollars but it was a massive pain to replace. Hard to get any good angles to get it out so I ended up taking half of the upper engine parts out to get to it under the intake manifold. Then you have to get to the bottom connection from under the car with the liner removed. Def recommend taking off your trunk lid to sit in it while you work. Made it a lot easier. |
