2000S fans not working good
Hi,
After I gone over a few forums about the fans issues I didn't find the answer. My problem is that the fans are not running on the low speed. only on the hi speed. they do work on low speed when I start the a/c but they don't engage at low speed when they reach the hi tempeture. relays= ok fuses=ok resistors ??? can it be that both of them not good? Can be also that one was bad before and only one worked, I didn't noticed it and only when both of them broke the car overheated? So, any Idea what can couse the fans not to trigger on low speed? (remind you that the a/c do trigger the low speed) Thanks Yaron |
Yes, it can happen that both resistors are bad as you described.

Most likely the resistor. I got rid of the bad resistor and tied both mode together as high until I found a better resistor.
I later found a different brand (Denso) and used it for low speed, same resistance and power rating. |

No. Both fan has independent resistor. You can find these fan/resistor on older Mini Cooper
