03 5 speed manual transmission
 

If I put 03 5speed manual tran in 99 2.5l should I have a problem with speed sensor and instrument cluster issues.

I am assuming the 99 2.5l is manual to begin with. Speed sensor should not have a problem, as it is located by the wheels, not the trans. Don't think instrument cluster would be affected, I do know that the back up light is connected to the transmission.

Anyone else care to chime in?

Am considering replacing my 2.7 transmission for a 2.5/A4 5 speed for lower gearing.
