Looks pretty dope so far. I can't wait to see it painted. With those rims, it looks just like the RUF 3400 S from Gran Turismo 4. It's an artist's rendition of what your car will look like.

Man that's cool. I actually picked out those exact rims shown in the 3400 S long ago.

As for a painted honeycomb grill, I say do what a GT3 tells you to do.

The video game picture is the GT3 MK1 for 99-01
and the one on TriGem's car is the GT3 MK2 adapted for Boxster head lights.

The GT3 MKII is longer and wider than the GT3 MKI.
And in terms of styling the openings on the MKII are bigger.
The MKII bumper comes from the factory with the Turbo look headlights.
The GT3 Cup Cars use this bumper with the three open slots just below the hood line.

Well if you are going to go with fiberglass its better that you got something that isn't available in factory polyurethane like the MKI

PrecisionPorsche also sells the GT3 MKII sideskirts for the Boxster.
that's where I got mine. Too bad the labor cost more than the $400 skirt

Yeah makes sense. Why soo much for labor on the side skirts?

TriGem2k, your car looks great. That bumper will look awesome when it is painted-up.

Nice rims too!

I don't know why labor is so expensive over here...
I thought I was being hosed by the shop but after going to other shops the price to paint and install the sideskirts was between $450 and $650.
Which makes me glad I didn't spend $700 on the factory side skirts, $1300 on just sideskirts??!! thats what I spent for the entire 3 piece aero kit on my old Miata.

But as you can see in the pictures sideskirts are a big visual change, looks much better in person too.

yeah definitly does add a lot, mine has side skirts as well but different style. They actually have to be reset(they dont sit plush). Few shops asked around $500 to Remove and reinstall so i put it off til later.

The best thing to do is to get a firm quote before you leave the car with them. The bodyshop that I used quoted $500 to prep, paint and install the bumper. He said afterward that it would have costed $1000 if he went with straight time. Also, with any aftermarket bumper, there is a fair amount of prep work before they install and paint it.

call DPS motorsports, someone there posted on another site that they would be introducing a poly-u version of the GT3 MK2 bumper for Boxsters and 911's with Boxster headlights.

you should have the guy at DPS email you a picture of the bumper he's going to sell you before you send the money. Too many bumpers and styles.

anyone else interested in going with the GT3 bumper might want to consider adding the GT3 RS intakes. Porsche sells the meshing for it as well, I can dig up the part number if interested.

that silver crest is sharp too.
