Mid Pipe Question

Can you remove stock and install the midpipes without taking off the muffler? I'm going to be replacing the OEM 2ndary cats on my 00 S with test pipes this weekend and haven't had a chance to look under the car.

Thanks!

My cat delete pipes were installed without needing to remove the muffler.

Since your talking about the mid pipes, on European Boxster S we have an 02 sensor on the mid pipes Before the secondary cat.
The Box S for the US market doesn't have that, only the non S?

So mid pipes made for the non S would fit my European S?

Were can I find a test pip to fit 99 boxer with tip tronic?

@NUBIE - One of the less expensive suppliers - Test Pipes

To put test pipes on a 99, how would you spoof the post cat O2? won't it go into limp mode otherwise?

MaxD 11-07-2013 03:48 PM

You may get a CEL but no limp mode. Fortunately Porsche doesn't do that but BMW's love to limp.
