Fault Codes

So got my new Durametric reader today. very simple to use. I am curious how it knows how many vin numbers it uses as it never prompted me to input that info or save it. it must save automatically when you plug it in?

Anyway - Following up on last weekends codes. Flashing CEL...here is what the faults were...

P0300 Porsche Fault Code 507 Total

P0305 Misfire Cylinder 5

P0303 Misfire Cylinder 3

Am I looking at plugs and coils on something like this?

Also - can anyone tell me how to look and see how much the car has been redlined?

The vehicle info is stored in the firmware that's inside the connector. The overevs info is in the DME selection (Engine Module) under (IIRC) either Identification or Information selections.

Regards.,
