 Dash lights

I noticed that these dash lights stay on after turning off the engine and removing the key for about 5 min. or so.... Anyone know if this is normal or not?? <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j144/fr3dm/DASHLIGHTS_zps95d15505.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DASHLIGHTS_zps95d15505.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j144/fr3dm/P10701244444444444_zps97d1f207.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo P10701244444444444_zps97d1f207.jpg"/></a> |

Yep. Plus the overhead light can be on for a couple of minutes too. Least on my 99 it does.

Yes, both delays are completely normal in a 2000 MY Boxster as well.

ok, great! I am glad it's normal.
Seems a little strange for dash lights though. Thanks for the replies... |

Agreed, enroute. At one point I had inquired about the same issue - although at that point I had not been sufficiently patient to wait for the lower dash lights to go out on their own! Another member told me to wait and sure enough, in about 3 1/2 minutes they went out. No worries!

 2001 S does that too.
When you lock the doors with the key all lights go out immediately |
