HELP, CDR-210 Blowing Radio Fuse?!
Hi Forum,
Can someone tell me why the B2 Radio fuse keeps burning out? :o My 1998 CDR-210 has not failed in 15 years until 2 weeks ago when it just stopped working for no apparent reason. Today I checked B2 Radio fuse and noticed it was burnt so I went to my local Porsche dealership and paid about $2.00 for a 7.5 fuse and after changing out and entering code, it worked! I was so proud of myself for taking on such a huge project but after restarting the Boxster again, it failed. :D I pulled fuse and noticed it was burnt again-this time after only 5 minutes of use. Has anyone had any experience or can tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it? Thank you, J@y2da-R!:. |
Either a short to ground in some of your stereo wiring or the 210 is fried. Any speaker changes or other tinkering with the wiring beyond stock that may be causing the problem?

Great observation Topless, thank you! :D
No changes to stock system at all. It was working fine then it burned fuse so I replaced and then did it again. :o |
