Start by checking the clutch pedal starter interlock switch, common problem.

Hey guys, I bought a 98 boxster about a year ago n love it but have a problem. About two weeks ago someone broke my driver side window n apparently locked my security up I'm guessing. The trunks were both locked out n the car would not start. Lights come on, radio, all that but just won't start. I was able to get into the trunks by " picking" the levers but that's not the issue. I've tried key in the door lock/ unlock several times, I took my security module out sprayed it down real good with an appropriate cleaner n reinstalled it but still no good, any suggestions? Tips...just anything... I love my car n I would love to be able to drive it this weekend.

I think JFP in PA nailed it. The clutch switch is located on the clutch pedal arm directly above the clutch pedal. It allows the starter motor to run when it is pushed in, and as an added bonus, deactivates the cruise control when it is pushed in.
