Unhappy drooping sun visor

hi all,
- I had left my visor in the "down " position, when I gently pushed it back up it just dropped back down !! can-not see at all what the problem is but it certainly wont stay up - any solutions or does it mean a new visor - if so is it a simple job to install ? thank you all for reading

I've had this problem and replaced my visor. You will need to replace the visor as the mechanism that "locks" it is built into the visor, and the whole part must be ordered. Hopefully you can get it from one of the more economical shops recommended on this forum.
