How long does a dual-mass flywheel last?

Anyone know how long one of these things should last? Or should they be replaced with the new clutch?

I replaced mine at 100K along with the clutch. It probably wasn't quite dead but I didn't want to have to pull it all apart again so it was easier to do it while I was in there.

Pro Tip: Napa's house brand flywheel is made by LUK.

Mine was toast at 75000 mi. After a shift I would sometimes feel a little jolt as if I had misjudged the revs.

They should be tested for maximum "twist" whenever exposed. How long they live depends upon two things: How much heat has it seen, and is it wet with oil. Heat and especially oil kill the elastomer.

Mine was toast at 72k.
