**Help** 03 Boxster Radio Auxilliary/Ipod

I just got the car recently and it's a bummer that I can't use an Ipod for music. It only comes with a single CD unit. I would like to keep the car as stock as I can, so I'd prefer not to change the radio...

Has anyone found a way to make this happen???

Bluetooth option is the easiest. All you need is a hands free Bluetooth unit with the built in fm modulator. Usually a good one is around $100

I hard wired an FM modulator and input jack into mine. Works dandy...

Woops I didn't realize that you were using a radio station. I find those to be very annoying and reception is aweful around here... Any other solutions for this issue? A good replacement??

There are threads on this topic. If your car has the CDR-220, this thread should help: http://986forum.com/forums/diy-project-guides/41983-ipod-adapter.html

How do I know which radio I have. I literally just got the car and no dealership seems to know anything other than referring me to an audio shop.

I have an 03 and mine has the CDR-230. I suspect that is what you have.

There is a factory CD Changer that mounts in the trunk if that's of interest to you.

Look at the faceplate of the radio.

Same in Chicago -- I hard wired the FM modulator, into the antenna, which significantly overpowers any signal over the air. Can't even tell...

Audiovox - Driven by DICE Electronics - Universal RDS USB

This works brilliantly...
