Auxiliary air pump repair
 

My aux air pump sounds like a tiny buzz-saw for about a minute after cold startup and my understanding is its the bearings. I found instructions for repair on Rennlist for a 911 pump, which entails opening up the pump and greasing the bearings, but my pump seems to be different from the 911 pump.

Has anyone repaired the aux pump and if so, how do I do it?

What PN is your SAI pump? I thought that 2000 and later were the same for the 986 and 996.
