Toluene

Does anyone here know any bad side effects of toluene? It is time to fill up this weekend and Im considering mixing a gallon or so with a full tank, unless someone tells me otherwise.

Why so much? What is the objective? Fuel cleaning or octane boost?

As a fuel cleaner, you only need about 6 ounces.

Do a search, blinkwatt, there has been much talked about here regarding octane and power. Just because you increase octane, it does not mean you will increase power.

MNBoxster threads should proved most insightfull to you. Go search his threads.

DUde, I saw a comparison with Toluene, NOS, and another gas additive to boost your octane levels from European Car Magazine. I'm trying to find it and will post.

Hi,

Good Point! Like so many things, Toluene can be very hazardous if used improperly. But, if used in a well-ventilated area and wearing the proper protection, there's little hazard to it. It is a common ingredient in Gasoline...

if it aint broke don't fix it! advice I should have followed once while tinkering with the gears on my $4,000 bicycle.
